Our position

Modexa respects creators and rights holders. Listings link to original sources and we do not host mod files. If you believe a listing, image or description infringes your rights, we want to hear from you.

How to submit a notice

Use the form on this page (or the Contact page) and include:

  1. Your name, email address and, if applicable, your organisation.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  3. The exact URL(s) of the Modexa page(s) containing the material.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is acceptable).

What happens next

We acknowledge valid notices, remove or disable access to the material while we review, and may notify the person who submitted the listing. Incomplete notices may delay the process.

Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed by mistake, contact us with the listing URL, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was an error, and your contact details. We may restore the content unless the rights holder pursues legal action.

Repeat infringers

We may suspend or block submitters who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

Trademarks and game assets

Game titles, logos and artwork belong to their owners and are shown only to describe compatibility. If you believe a trademark is misused, report it using the same process.

False claims

Knowingly misrepresenting that content is infringing may have legal consequences. Please submit accurate notices only.

Frequently asked questions

Do you host the files that were reported?

No. Modexa links to the creator’s source. We remove the listing; the creator’s own site is a separate matter.
